About Kahlia

I’m Kahlia, an artist and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia.

My work is inspired by imagination and the quiet, wholesome moments that bring comfort from within. I create illustrations by hand myself that feel warm and gentle, with the hope that they nurture a sense of delight and bring comfort into your space.

While I dedicate my illustrations to a wide range of individuals, a significant part of my practice focuses on children’s illustration. Through colour, shape, and texture, I create playful characters—often animals—and imaginative scenes that invite children to explore their own creativity and discover the magic within each piece.

In general, I draw inspiration from everyday life, with a strong focus on the natural beauty found in nature and animals. By blending imagination with the world around me, I aim to transform simple moments into something fun, meaningful, and memorable.
