A Thought From Kahlia

Welcome to my blog- a little corner on my website where I feel like I’m actually talking with you.

I want to take you through my mind and share to you my thought process about my on going inspiration which I’m sure you’ll gather by browsing my collection and see that it is birds. And more specifically as of right now, a family of pigeons in my backyard who eat off a plate of seeds and dip in tubs of water while sheltering from the sun under my big leafy lemon tree. 

These wild birds, these beautiful pigeons I now call family and I adore them daily while watching them go about their day just as we do and isn’t that so magical? That these birds live their lives just beside us and most of us don’t even realise. I invite you to take a moment and slow down, watch the birds above you or the ones sitting on your fence and notice how they play, how they cuddle and love on each other and how they notice you noticing them. 

So when I draw I like to have birds as a popular subject matter as they bring comfort and even tranquility into my space and I want to be able to share this feeling with you all and show you that beauty and magic are right beside us in the things we may not even notice at first.
